More than 10 bars and salons will place your cruise under the sign of relaxation. On deck 5, the Sotto Vento Pub is the right place to rest on one of its eggplant color armchairs, with a cool beer in hand. At the same level, Piazza Di Spagna displays a cozy atmosphere rocked by music played live at the piano by talented artists. On the same bridge, the Aroma Coffee Bar with its red tones armchairs invites coffee lovers. This is the ideal address to discover the best hot cafes or struck from around the world. Each bar offers a view of the sea and a different atmosphere so that each passenger can relax in a space that corresponds to his desires of the moment.
Located at the back of the bridge 5, the La Caravella restaurant is the largest dining room in the ship with a capacity of 981 guests. Installed at the Pont 6 stern, the Apprado is the other main restaurant of the boat that can accommodate up to 422 guests. These two tables serve Italian delights and famous specialties of international cuisine. For those who like to take their meal in self-service, the Vele Buffet Restaurant du Pont 11 is the right address. This buffet offers 20 hours a day an exceptional variety of dishes highlighting Mediterranean cuisine. On deck 11, Il Patio is another relaxed restoration option where you can taste pizzas, burgers, pasta, hot dogs, pancakes, sandwiches, etc.
The ship develops a good number of installations provided for this purpose: a casino, a nightclub, a dance floor, etc. Installed on bridge 6, the Med Pearl Casino is the meeting place for lovers of roulette, slot machines, blackjack and poker. Fitted on bridges 5 and 6, the Teatro Dell'opera presents two exclusive shows produced by groups of renowned artists each evening. Located at the stern of bridge 12, the Discoteca Byblos invites those who wish to spend a beautiful dancing evening on trendy music. The MSC Opera also houses a space with a library, a card room and an internet point, located at the front of the bridge 5. For adolescents and young people, the Arcade 6 video room is a place essential to have fun.
Five clubs for babies, children and adolescents are spread over bridges 11 and 12. On bridge 11, the baby club offers activities and games in partnership with Chicco for toddlers under 3 accompanied by their parents. At the same level, the mini club organizes entertainment programs with LEGO for children aged 3 to 6. On bridge 12, the Juniors Club is the meeting place for children aged 7 to 11 to participate in the various Lego games corresponding to their age. The Teens Club for adolescents aged 12 to 17 is open to facilitate meetings. Several other entertainment areas are dedicated to children on board, among others the Arcade video room and the Doremi Spray Park.
The fans of swimming and nautical activities are found on the 11 Tosca bridge where the two pools in the swimming pool space, the two whirlpools and the Doremi Spray Park water park. This last pool is bordered by a paddling pool and water jets where the youngest guests can have fun. In sunny weather, enjoy a magnificent swimming day in this pool area. Pay on one of the foldable deckchairs installed around the pools. Towels are available for free. The space called the swimming pool is served by the Lo Spinnaker outside bar with a vitamin bar and an ice cream bar. After swimming, sip a glass of cocktail or taste a delicious cutting of ice to complete your moments of relaxation in the open air.
This revolutionary ship is developing installations dedicated to sports, including the sports center located in the MSC Aurea Spa complex, the mini-golf and the jogging track. Installed at the bow of bridge 11, the gym is open to passengers over 14 years old. The Partnership of MSC Cruises with the famous Technogym brand allows you to find a lot of bodybuilding, cardio training and efficient fitness devices. For putting enthusiasts, enjoy a game of mini-golf on bridge 13, on the port side, near the fireplace. If you are used to jogging, join the Power Walking Track track which extends 200 meters along the Pont 12.
Recently renovated, the MSC Aurea Spa, this 943 square Balinese spa complex extends to the front of the bridge 11. Some cabins are reserved for massages, including the famous traditional Balinese massage and massage in bamboo. This luxurious space also houses two saunas, a Turkish bath, a thermal space and a relaxation room adorned with salt crystal lamps. Well-being enthusiasts also discover here the Jean Louis David beauty salon offering many aesthetic and hairdressing treatments. A professional team of hairdressers, estheticians, barbers and manicure and pedicure specialists welcomes you in this prestigious living room.
The 902-foot-long, 105-foot-wide vessel accommodates 2,150 passengers and 728 crew members. The MSC Opera has a total of 13 decks and 1,071 staterooms.
The Spa Aurea offers relaxation with its treatment rooms and massage cabins. You also have access to a thalassotherapy area, sauna, hammam, Turkish bath and beauty salon.
A wide range of sporting activities are also on offer, including a weight room, fitness classes, mini-golf and a running track. Other entertainment options include 3 swimming pools, 2 whirlpools, disco, casino, library, themed evenings, karaoke, concerts and shows...
Several areas have been specially designed for children and teenagers. Divided into age groups, they can take part in the activities of their choice. The youngest (0-3 years) are looked after in the Baby Club. The Mini Club and Junior Club are for children aged 3 to 11. They enjoy LEGO play areas and the Doremi Spray Park (water games).
The arcade, sponsored by Namco, and the Young Club and Teen Club areas are perfect for teenagers (12-17).
In the two main dining rooms, MSC Opera's chefs offer international cuisine and numerous Mediterranean specialties. The Patio is a grill and pizza establishment, and the Vele is a vast self-service buffet.
The MSC Opera is also home to several bars and lounges. For example, La Cabala and Piazza Di Spagna are two very pleasant piano bars. The Cotton Club Music-Hall features a dance floor and live concerts. By the pool, Lo Spinnaker serves ice creams and fresh fruit juices.
On board the MSC Opera, you can choose to travel in a standard cabin (inside and outside, with or without balcony) or in an Aurea Suite.
Whichever type of accommodation you choose, all the rooms on this ship are between 140 ft² and 248 ft² in size, and have been renovated: you'll enjoy a welcoming, air-conditioned cabin. You'll also enjoy a private bathroom, dressing table, comfortable bedding, relaxing armchair and interactive TV.
Aurea Suites guests also enjoy a bathtub, spacious closet and sitting area.
All ships in the fleet are equipped to produce fresh water directly on board. Today, 80% of the water used on an MSC cruise comes from the sea. Thanks to these installations, the company avoids impacting coastal communities by sourcing its water on land.
In addition, all MSC ships are equipped with a wastewater treatment plant. The water discharged by the company is clean and of a quality close to that of tap water.
MSC Cruises also ensures the proper management of its solid waste and recycled 937,000 ft³ of waste during 2019. The company also bans single-use plastic from its operations.
