Introduced in 2019, the HANSEATIC inspiration is around 15,650 GT and measures about 453 feet in length and 72 feet in width. Like the other ships in this series, she was built by VARD and designed for expedition itineraries (PC6 ice class according to the line’s presentations). The ship relies on a fleet of Zodiacs and a deployable aft marina that makes launches and returns after excursions easier. In terms of decks, the layout emphasizes observation (panoramic lounges/observation areas and forward walking areas highlighted for enjoying the view).
The HANSEATIC inspiration offers a gourmet experience adapted to every moment of the day through three distinct dining venues. The main Hanseatic restaurant focuses on refined international cuisine, while the Lido Restaurant offers a more relaxed atmosphere with its open kitchen and terrace for open-air lunches. For a more exclusive touch, the Hamptons specialty restaurant serves creative cuisine inspired by maritime coastlines.
Life on board revolves around two signature spaces: the Observation Lounge, a true glass cocoon for enjoying a drink while facing the horizon, and the HanseAtrium, a modern-design venue for lectures and cocktails. With open seating and flexible hours, the ship ensures complete fluidity, allowing guests to move seamlessly from wild exploration to the comfort of attentive service.
The HANSEATIC inspiration offers outside cabins/suites, with typical categories ranging from 226 to 291 sq. ft. depending on type (panoramic cabins, French balcony, balcony). The amenities are clearly designed for expedition cruising: rain shower, heated bathroom wall, included minibar, coffee machine, binoculars, and an infotainment system featuring, among other things, a forward camera/navigation charts and content related to lectures. In higher suite categories, the line highlights significantly larger spaces (for example, a Grand Suite of around 764 sq. ft., including the veranda), with separated living areas and upgraded features.
The ship includes a spa, fitness spaces, and an outdoor pool. The atmosphere remains intentionally calm and focused on contemplation, with priority given to observation spaces and moments of recovery between excursion days.
The HANSEATIC inspiration is positioned on a variety of expedition itineraries, from polar regions to more tropical areas, with adjustable capacity on certain voyages (e.g. expeditions where guest numbers are limited). The compact format and excursion logistics (Zodiacs/marina) make it easier to reach more exclusive areas while still maintaining a luxury cruise experience on board.
