This imposing and innovative giant of the seas is 1,142 feet long and 135 feet wide. With its 16 passenger decks, it can carry 4,905 passengers and 1,300 crew members. Among the 2,090 cabins of the Quantum of the Seas, 1,570 have a balcony to enjoy the sea.
Royal Caribbean has installed some fabulous activities on the Quantum class ships. The 23-foot-high RipCord by iFLY free-fall simulator and the North Star capsule that soars 295 feet above the sea are a must.
The 39-foot high surfing simulator, sports fields, fitness room, rollerblade track and climbing wall are also available on board.
For relaxation, you have a choice of 4 swimming pools, 10 Jacuzzis, 2 of which are suspended, the spa, solarium and duty free stores on the Royal Promenade.
In the evening, enjoy the casino, disco, billiards or 3D movies.
Kids have plenty of fun on Quantum of the Seas with the 30-vehicle bumper car track at SeaPlex. And to enjoy the sunshine, there's a water park for them, the H20 Zone, with geysers, waterfalls and water games.
To liven up the trip, during the cruise, they can meet their DreamWorks heroes, Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and the penguins of Madagascar.
As on all its ships, Royal Caribbean offers a daycare center for 6/36 months and activity clubs for children and teenagers.
The Grande, on deck 3, is a very chic restaurant for dinner, serving traditional and classic cuisine. Sorrento's and Jamie's Table offer the best Italian dishes. And Izumi on Deck 5, bordering the Royal Promenade, offers a taste of Japanese cuisine.
The Two70 lounge offers a 270-degree view and is lively in the evening. Café Promenade on Deck 4 is the ideal place for a break while shopping. Finally, Michael's Genuine Pub on Deck 4 offers a warm welcome for beer tasting.
The cabins are ultra modern, functional and bright. Royal Caribbean invites you to choose between inside, outside, family and balcony cabins. The cabins are equipped with twin beds that can be converted into a king-size bed, and have retractable closets and storage space under the beds. Their average size is 161 to 215 square feet.
For more space and comfort, you can book one of the different categories of suites. Some are ultra luxurious, such as the Royal Loft Suite of 1,636 square feet, on two floors, with a 420 square foot terrace and whirlpool baths.
Concerned about the environment, Royal Caribbean has installed LED lighting on all its ships and has eliminated plastic straws on board. It also does its utmost to save water on board, treat bunker water and purify wastewater.
