Le Soléal was built between 2012 and 2013 in Ancona by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri. It measures 466 ft in length, 59 ft in width, and has a gross tonnage of 12,063 US tons. A crew of 145 ensures smooth operation and hospitality for up to 244 guests.
With a crew-to-guest ratio of 1.7, luxurious public spaces, and attentive service, the ship ranks among the finest 5-star hotels at sea.
Le Soléal sails the globe with the support of onboard naturalist guides. Each journey includes expert guest lecturers who provide deeper insight into the destinations explored.
Le Soléal also aims to deliver a relaxing and enjoyable cruise experience. Onboard amenities include a fitness room, beauty corner, hair salon, massage cabins, balneotherapy facilities, hammam, wellness area, and a spacious 2,690 sq. ft. theater.
Le Soléal features a gourmet restaurant and a grill. The first, on Deck 2, showcases French cuisine alongside international fine dining. The second, on Deck 6, offers buffets and grilled dishes either indoors or on the terrace, for warm and welcoming meals.
Onboard, guests can enjoy 3 bars and lounges. The main lounge, located on Deck 3 and covering 2,745 sq. ft., includes a dance floor and regularly hosts festive events. On Deck 6, the panoramic lounge is perfect for enjoying a drink while taking in breathtaking ocean views. The outdoor bar near the pool is ideal for a sunny cocktail break.
Le Soléal features 112 cabins and suites, each with either a double bed or two twin beds, and a private balcony with sea view. Cabins range from 194 to 226 sq. ft., while suites vary between 290 and 592 sq. ft. for extra space and comfort.
All accommodations on Le Soléal include individual air conditioning, a minibar, satellite TV, a Bose™ sound system, a desk, a safe, a satellite phone, and free unlimited Wi-Fi access.
The bathroom, separate from the toilet, is equipped with a hairdryer and offers a full selection of Hermès® bath products.
Concerned with environmental challenges, Ponant actively works to reduce the ecological footprint of its cruises. Waste management, slow-speed navigation, and carefully chosen anchorage zones are combined with eco-conscious technological solutions built into the ship's design.
Le Soléal is equipped with a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system that reduces NOx emissions and features advanced facilities for wastewater and waste treatment.
