Antarctica Havn is a bay in northeast Greenland, within the Northeast Greenland National Park. It is surrounded by steep mountains, including the Pictet Range to the west and Mount Karlsbak to the southeast. The bay was first explored in 1899 by the Swedish expedition of Nathorst, who named it after his ship, the Antarctic. A former Norwegian hunting station, Karlsbak Station, was established there in 1930 and served as a meteorological base and radio station until 1959. Today, cruisers can see the remains of the station and a memorial to explorer Helge Ingstad.
